With the arrival of the Schutt F7 Adult Football Helmet, the protective headwear game has taken a jump to the next level. The F7 is the first helmet to feature padding on the + outside of a shell as Schutt's Three Dimensional Movement System (3DM) places strategically located Tektonic Plates on top of a layer of TPU cushioning. The plates move independently of the helmet in multiple directions, helping to manage rotational energy and absorb impacts. The two plates also give the helmet its unique look, which make it easy to spot on the field. Adding to the look is a new, larger twist release bumper in the front and a back bumper that includes an aggressive saw tooth design. Inside the helmet, the innovations continue with a new Radian Diffusion System liner. The liner, black and highlighted with blue accents, moves independently of the helmet, providing yet another level of protection. A multi-layed front pad combines TPU, vinyl nitrile and comfort foam to protect one of the most common impact zones. The helmet also features tried and true Schutt protection features like TPU cushioning and the helmet stabilization system in the jaw area for a locked in feel. Helmet includes white soft cup chinstrap and jaw pads for an ideal fit.

One of the top rated against concussion
I am always looking for the best rated equipment to protect against injuries. This also was an amazing price compared to the Schutt actual site. It does seem to run a little snugger than other helmets.

Excellent Helmet
I have given these to my players and they highly recommend. They have an excellent rating per the Virginia Tech scale and they are very comfortable. I will be purchasing more for my high school football team.

Great Fit!
Honestly this is one of the most comfortable helmets i've worn. I play linebacker so i hit a lot but i have not felt any hits while wearing this helmet.

I really like the f7 I just got. It's comfortable, provides the top protection from Virginia tech, and does all that while looking super cool. Definitely recommend this helmet!

Great helmet, sizing is misleading though
It's a nice helmet and obviously functional. Scored really high on the VA Tech ratings. That being said, the sizing is off. I'm an XL in everything else, but the XL for the F7 fit small. Even after removing the "underlayer" padding as I call it, it's still snug and I have no room to inflate the padding. Since then I have tried an XL+ which it more like an XL I'm used to. If you're a true XL I would consider trying the XL+ first.

F7 is GR8!!!
Of all the new high tech helmets on the market today, the F7 is the cream of the crop. I own a Speed; SpeedFlex and a Vicis Zero1. I know that the Vicis is the highest rated helmet on the market, but the F7 is more comfortable and lighter than any of those helmets. The outer shell of the F7 reminds me of an armadillo's shell. I love the funky looking design of the F7. I highly recommend this helmet!

Compare Weight and Ratings.
LIGHT WEIGHT, comfortable and rated #2 by Virginia Tech. Helmet isn't cheap, but when you factor in the Titanium facemask and quality hard cup chinstrap - the only competition is the $975 Vicis and the $1700 "Precision Fit" Speedflex.

Top Helmet
I wanted to get a new helmet for my son who will be playing freshman football next season. We looked around some local stores but they don't carry the top helmets that we found on Sports unlimited. He had a youth Vengeance helmet before and we were between the Speedflex and the new F7. He loves the way the new helmet fits and feels and can't wait to try it out on the field. He is also pumped that he is one of the first on his team to get the F7. All around great purchase, glad we stuck with Schutt.
